Every day is a good pamper day but special occasions such as birthdays or bachelorettes are a given. Finding the perfect spot however, not such an easy task.
The treatment menu is most probably what you’ll look at first but truth be told, it should be the venue and location. Can the venue caterer for all your gal pals at one time and is it easily accessible to everyone? We all have that one friend that lives miles away. Once that has been decided on, have a look at the treatments available but you don’t necessarily have to stick to what you know.
“Mani and Pedi’s are always a firm favourite because who doesn’t like pretty hands and toes but trying something new may just blow you away, literally,” says Dean Meldau, Owner of Cape Town Beauty Bar. “We have incredible blow-dry options but also don’t be afraid to have a little fun with the treatments, be daring and do something different with your hair or try some nail art.”
While the treatment selection is important, also have a look at what drinks and snacks the salon is able to provide during your indulgence session. It creates an additional relax factor to the day when canapés are served and you’re treated like royalty. Even a glass of bubbly on arrival can go a long way and there are only a few beauty bar’s that offer this.
You don’t have to spend a fortune to look and feel beautiful or on a girl’s day out, if budget is an issue opt for one treatment instead of two. Value for money is important so ask if there are any specials or packages available. “The packages may seem like a lot of money but there is often a discount involved so take full advantage, if you can,” explains Meldau.
Have a look at the online reviews. If a beauty bar hasn’t come highly recommended, look for one that does. Reviews are a reflection of what to expect but bear in mind you’ll always get at least one person who didn’t have a good experience.
Cape Town Beauty Bar offers a range of packages to choose from that have been crafted according to specific needs such as the hangover pamper, summer starter and glam Thursdays packages. They also delight in arranging pamper sessions for any occasion, with a unique and extensive treatment menu available, including an Africa Queen menu.
